We have a brand new gym with Origin kit, Stages SC3 spin bikes with power meters and Speedflex self-powered treadmills as well as squat racks, cable machine and free weights.
We have over 50 classes per week to suit all ages and abilities including the Les Mills BodyPump, BodyBalance, Sh'Bam and RPM.
As a fitness instructor, my main drive is to encourage and enable everyone to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle.
I believe there are three groups of people who often get left out that we would like to help in addition to all you regular fitness fans:
1. Parents. For the simple reason of struggling for childcare. So, we're going to install an indoor play area and have supervised play sessions to allow you to get to the gym and classes. You'll also find that there are classes scheduled for you when there are classes scheduled for them...it's no coincidence!
2. Teenagers. Because they are growing out of their kiddie classes but are not old enough yet for the gym. So we are running the Les Mills 'Born To Move' classes for 8-12 & 13-16yr olds, family classes, 14+ gym sessions and our 'adult' classes can be attended from age 12!
3. Those with chronic health conditions who are either afraid to exercise or don't know how to safely. We can help with this too. Our staff are qualified to prescribe exercise to those suffering from chronic health complaints and can even offer cancer rehabilitation and, uniquely, we will offer extended induction programmes to settle everyone in well.
To bring health and fitness facilities to the community for all ages and abilities.
To integrate into our community and help tackle social isolation.
To help parents return to work by providing access to a study space with study and business information.
To work work closely with baby and toddler groups, breastfeeding groups, special needs and support groups.
To be environmentally and ethically responsible.
To be a living wage provider by 2020.
